Beginning as a special education teacher and co-chair of an Autism program,
she transitioned to become a speech-language pathologist in 2010. Keisha holds a
Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in
Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University. In 2019, she founded
Spectrum Education and Therapy Center, focusing on supporting homeschool families
with neurodiverse learners. Her practice is a multidisciplinary practice, offering critical
therapies and supports for families who have decided to homeschool their learners with
unique learning challenges. She partners with parents to turn those challenges into
opportunities. Over the last 13 years, not only has she homeschooled her own 4
children, but she has also been an advocate for families, championing children’s rights
to receive optimal support. She sees culturally responsive education and therapy as
powerful tools for accessing opportunities.
